The management of Lagos State University has activated the online admission screening registration portal for the 2025/2026 academic session

✅ WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?

To be eligible for the LASU admission screening, you must meet the following general requirements:

1. First Choice in JAMB:
You must have selected Lagos State University (LASU) as your first choice institution during your 2025 UTME registration.

2. JAMB Score Requirement:
You must score 195 and above in your UTME. Any score below 195 is not accepted.

3. Age Requirement:
You must be at least 16 years old by October 1st, 2025. If you will not be 16 years by that date, you are not eligible to apply.

4. O’Level Requirements (SSCE/NECO/NABTEB):

You must have at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

These credits must be obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.

The results must be from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, and the exam must have been written before or in July 2025. Any exam written after July 2025 is not acceptable.

⚠ SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SOME COURSES

Some departments in LASU have extra conditions you must meet. Take note of the following:

• Medicine and Surgery & Dentistry:
  These two courses do not accept two sittings for O’level. You must have all your five credit passes in one sitting only.
• Engineering Courses:
  Candidates who wish to study Engineering courses must pay close attention:

You can use two sittings of O’level results.

However, you must have six (6) credit passes, not five.

The required subjects are:

• Mathematics
• Physics
• Chemistry
• English Language
• Two other science subjects (like Biology, Technical Drawing, Further Mathematics, etc.)

Any one other subject

• Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering:
  This course requires a credit pass in Further Mathematics. If you don’t have Further Maths, you are not qualified for this course.

📌 VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:

All applicants must upload their O’level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) on the JAMB CAPS portal before the LASU admission screening deadline. If your result is not uploaded, you will not be considered for admission, even if your JAMB score is high.

Q1: Can I apply if I didn’t choose LASU as first choice?
A: No. You must change LASU to your first choice on the JAMB portal before applying for the screening.

Q2: I got 193 in JAMB. Can I still apply?
A: No. The minimum score is 195 and above.

Q3: Can I use awaiting result?
A: Only if your result will be out before July 2025. If your O’level exam is after July 2025, you are not eligible.

Q4: What if I have all credits but not in the required subjects?
A: You must meet the specific subject requirements for your course. If not, you won’t be admitted.

Q5: Is there going to be a physical post-UTME exam?
